Empower Through Flour

Get our special purple cone for a limited time.

Clementine’s is going purple for Women’s History Month! That’s right, the month where we honor women who marched for the right to vote. It happens that purple is the color of the women’s suffrage movement–so, we’re offering purple ice cream cones to our customers. This is because we’re taking part in a very special campaign called Empower Through Flour. This initiative was started by Angela Garbacz, owner of Goldenrod Pastries in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has brought together a lineup of woman chefs from across the country to support the nonprofit organization I AM THAT GIRL. Each participating business offers a purple item on their menu, and proceeds for that item are donated to I AM THAT GIRL. So each time a guest purchases a purple cone from Clementine’s, 50% of the sale will  go directly toward helping girls receive the tools they need to strengthen their self-worth and confidence. We encourage you to read more about the organization, its mission, and local chapters!

We are thrilled to be participating in Empower Through Flour, and encourage our customers to purchase our purple cones throughout March to show their support for young women. Being a successful woman-owned business makes us very proud, and we love having this opportunity to lift women up through our passion for serving ice cream. Ice cream changed owner Tamara’s life, and we know that I AM THAT GIRL is changing lives all over the nation. We want to see more women growing up with the confidence to fulfill their dreams, and this organization has the heart to make that happen. That’s why you’ll see purple cones in our stores this month…not just because they’re pretty, but because they’re empowering.
