Hail to the Sweets!

We were incredibly proud to be chosen as the official ice cream of the 2nd Presidential Debate of 2016! We were on-site at Washington University, high-fiving students, smiling for the press, and scooping up Red Velvet, Blue Moon, and Madagascar Vanilla flavored ice cream for the perfect tri-colored treat.

Others in attendance were trying to focus on the candidates and the issues, but our fun flavors kept stealing the limelight. The Donald said we, ‘make ice cream great again,' and we took Hillary’s ice cream shimmy as a sure sign of approval. Local luminary Ken Bone even gave our scoops two enthusiastic thumbs up. Okay, okay...so we didn’t actually meet the candidates. But we’re confident that had both hopefuls tried our ice cream, they would finally agree on one thing: Clementine’s crushes the ice cream game!

Now let’s talk shop. We know freedom of choice is important to you, that’s the nature of Democracy! As soon as you enter our store in Lafayette Square, you’re faced with a vote: naughty, or nice? Good news for the people of St. Louis: Clementine’s is more than a two-party system! With over 20 flavors on any given day, your ballot is stacked with incredible candidates; from a comforting classic (and St. Louis favorite) Gooey Butter Cake, or Kickass Chocolate, to a creative combo like Strawberry Balsamic with White Pepper.

The right to vote, and to be involved in the Democratic process is one we covet here at Clementine’s Creamery. It’s SO important to us, in fact, that if you come in on Voting Day (That’s November 8th, friends! Mark your calendars! And if you’re not sure where to go to perform your civic duty, click here to find your local polling place!) wearing your “I Voted” sticker, you’ll receive FREE ice cream in the form of an extra scoop. Order a single and flash your sticker, and you get served a double - it’s as simple as that!

It’s the Clementine’s take on the American Way - life, liberty and the pursuit of sweetness.
